I had a very good experience with Best Student Halls. They supported me throughout my accommodation search and were always available to answer my questions. They also did their best to negotiate the price and find an option that suited my budget. They also helped me with the administrative process, which made everything much easier and less stressful. I really appreciated their availability, professionalism, and support throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend Best Student Halls to students looking for accommodation.

Book places in major cities and universities across the globe
Nottingham is a brilliant student city; two fantastic universities, a genuinely thriving student community, and a well-earned reputation. You'll get an exceptional education here without paying London prices, which frankly gives you a real advantage from the start.
The city's got character in spades. You see it in the medieval streets, the historic caves, and the creative energy around the Lace Market. There is always something going on, be it live music, independent cafés, proper pubs, and a food scene worth exploring. It’s built around students, as it simply suits them the best.
Finding the right accommodation makes a huge difference. Best Student Halls has a range of verified student housing across Nottingham. You can search by university, neighbourhood, budget, or what matters most to you – whether that's a shared house or your own space. Everything's straightforward, transparent, and we're here if you need support.
Ready to explore? Our free Nottingham Student Guide covers the neighbourhoods with proper local insights and accommodation that'll genuinely suit you.
Nottingham is fairly affordable compared to most UK cities. Cooking at home, choosing a budget-friendly student accommodation, and taking advantage of student discounts all make a real difference to your monthly outgoings.
Student housing in Nottingham is particularly reasonable, which means you can actually afford to enjoy the city without constantly worrying about money.
For a full breakdown of what to expect, check out the Nottingham Student Guide or use our cost of living calculator.
Nottingham's got shopping covered, whether you're after big brands or independent finds. The Victoria Centre has over 120 stores, including John Lewis, House of Fraser, and high street names like H&M and River Island.
If you prefer something different, Bridlesmith Gate and Hockley are packed with independent shops, vintage finds, and boutiques. Sneinton Market is another gem for independent traders and designers. Student discounts are standard across most shops, which helps stretch your budget further.
Nottingham has a proper football heritage. Nottingham Forest is a Premier League club with real history, whilst Notts County is the world's oldest professional football club. Beyond football, there's ice hockey with the Nottingham Panthers, rugby teams, and a solid grassroots sports scene. If you're into playing rather than watching, both universities have strong sports facilities and clubs.
Finding student housing in Nottingham near campus means easy access to all the sports facilities you'll need, whether you're a casual player or serious athlete.
