Cancellation policy

Any cancellation requests must be received in writing to Bauhaus Student or email to info@beststudenthalls.com

  • Cancellation Procedure

    • Cancellation Procedure

    • The tenants have a 7-day ‘cooling off’ period after signing the contract, in which they can cancel their contract and receive their payment back, minus an £80 administration fee. 
    • If this ‘cooling off’ period has passed, and a student would like to cancel their contract, they are liable for the remainder of the rent payable for the previously agreed duration of the contract.
    • If the original tenant finds a replacement tenant to take over their room for the remainder of the tenancy, then that original tenant is liable up to and including the 7th day after the new tenant has signed, after which the new tenant is liable
    • In addition to the above, we will cancel the contract and refund any monies paid for students who don’t secure a visa or a university place.

Do You Need a Guarantor?

Most landlords and letting agents require a UK-based guarantor. Without one, you may be asked to pay your full year's rent upfront. To help students navigate this, we've partnered with Housing Hand, which can provide a recognised certificate of rental guarantee, giving both you and your landlord peace of mind.

It's worth knowing that several of our student halls don't require a UK-based guarantor at all, allowing students to pay rent in convenient instalments instead.
