About Raglan House, Coventry

Raglan House is a low-rise complex of three accommodation blocks. You can walk to the Coventry University campus in under 10 minutes, and to the city centre in just 12 minutes.
Wondering which room type to choose? If you’d like to have your own bathroom but share a kitchen and lounge with flatmates, choose an en-suite. If you’d prefer to live independently and have everything to yourself, a studio will be perfect for you.
As you come through the main entrance into the Raglan House reception, you’ll find a small common area that’s furnished with a sofa, comfy chairs, and a TV, as well as table football.
Living here, you’re less than 10 minutes away from lectures and around 12 minutes’ walk from the city centre shops, entertainment, nightlife. You’re also just minutes from FarGo Village, home to a host of amazing independent shops, cafes, bars, and more.

Cancellation policy

How to Cancel your Booking

1. Unless you have already collected the keys to the accommodation, you may cancel your booking by writing or sending an e-mail to us at cancellations@unitestudents.com, at any time during the 7 days after we send you an e-mail confirming your booking is complete (the “7 Day Cooling-Off Period”). If you do that, you will not be charged and we will return your deposit or any Advance Rent Payments you have made.
 
2. Provided the 7-Day Cooling-Off-Period has expired, you will have to pay all amounts due under your Tenancy Agreement unless a replacement Tenant is found for your Room or you enter into a new Tenancy. If a replacement Tenant is found for your Room before your start date, we will release you from your Tenancy Agreement on the date seven days after the new Tenant’s Tenancy Agreement is signed. If a replacement Tenant is found for your Room after your start date, we will release you from your Tenancy Agreement from the start date of the replacement Tenant's new Tenancy Agreement. If you have occupied the Room before this, you will be charged £50.00 to cover our costs of preparing the Room for the replacement Tenant.

3. No Place No Pay – applicable to 1st-year students only. If you are a prospective first-year undergraduate student and your offer of a place at your preferred University/Higher Education Institution is withdrawn by the University/Higher Education Institution as a result of you not achieving your required entry grades, you may be eligible to be released from this agreement. You may also be eligible to be removed from this agreement if you are a prospective first-year undergraduate student and choose to go to a different University because you have exceeded your expected grades. To apply to be released from this agreement in the circumstances referred to above, you will need to supply us with a copy of the following:
  • a written rejection letter from your chosen university/college or UCAS or a screenshot of your UCAS status which confirms that the required results were not achieved; or
  • a copy of the proof of acceptance of your new university by UCAS adjustment.
 
4. These document(s) must be received by us within 7 calendar days from the date your results are published. Please email the documentation to cancellations@unitestudents.com. On receipt of the required documentation it will be verified and, provided we are satisfied, we will cancel your agreement and refund any deposit or advance rent paid in full.

    Do You Need a Guarantor?

    Most landlords and letting agents require a UK-based guarantor. Without one, you may be asked to pay your full year's rent upfront. To help students navigate this, we've partnered with Housing Hand, which can provide a recognised certificate of rental guarantee, giving both you and your landlord peace of mind.

    It's worth knowing that several of our student halls don't require a UK-based guarantor at all, allowing students to pay rent in convenient instalments instead.       I’ve had a great experience staying at this student accommodation. The facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained, and everything is designed to make student life easier and more comfortable. The location is also convenient, with easy access to transport, shops, and the university. A special thanks to Lucy, who has been incredibly helpful throughout my stay. She’s always approachable, friendly, and quick to assist whenever I had any questions or needed guidance. Her support truly made a big difference in settling in and feeling at home.       Raglan House – the place where a new chapter of my life began. Honestly, I’m lost for words because it has been the best place I’ve ever lived. I’ve met so many wonderful people here – some from my own culture, and many from others – and they’ve all been absolutely lovely. I genuinely adore the atmosphere at Raglan House.The staff, the cleanliness, the environment, the brilliant events, and the amazing food – Raglan truly offers so much to students to make them feel comfortable and happy. I’ve absolutely loved my time here And I must mention the absolute star of Raglan House – the best team leader ever – Lucy. She is, without doubt, the most friendly, kind-hearted, and lovely person. I wish her all the very best for the future. I’ve gained so much from my time at Raglan, and as I prepare to leave, I know I’m going to miss it deeply. It’s hands down the best accommodation in all of Coventry.

      Honestly, Raglan House has been such a great place to live during my time in Coventry. The staff are super friendly and always happy to help with anything; you really feel looked after here. The location is spot on close to uni, shops, and everything you need. My room was clean and comfy when I moved in, and any issues got sorted really quickly. It’s a quiet and chill place, which is perfect for focusing on studies or just relaxing after a long day. I’ve also met some amazing people here and made some great memories. If you’re looking for student accommodation that’s safe, comfortable, and has a good vibe, I’d definitely recommend Raglan House!
