Been a lovely place to live at, the student ambassadors really do make the accommodation better with all the additional amenities they provided as well as the continued supports with maintenance whenever there is a problem, special thanks to Jayden, Jack and Harry who were always quick to respond and made sure I stay was always a 10/10

Worst place I have ever lived (hopefully), management leave a great deal to be desired. I have no confidence in Cloud Student Homes, sadly my contract with them would not appear to be worth the paper it was written on and they refuse to treat their tenants with respect or dignity which is a great shame. Expect, as a resident, to see piles of rubbish and basic amenities (like stairs, properly locking front doors or a fire alarm system) to be not in a working order. I tried writing several times to management asking them to fix essential issues but this has been a woeful exercise. Cloud would appear to prefer platitudes to action Overall unsafe and would not recommend

I promise you this place is not worth it. Find somewhere else! Kiln House might be nice but London House no and Poulson has flooding problems yearly. When I first moved in (London House) the kitchen was not clean. The microwave and oven had old food residue and stains. My bathroom was not clean, I had to request for a new toilet seat as the one there was so old and rusty. My biggest issue was there lack of concern in regards to when things broke. The lift kept breaking throughout the academic year as in more than 5 times. Same as the front door the magnet on it was so faulty you’d have to be slamming it so hard for it lock and the area at nighttime is not the safest at all so imagine a faulty door on top of this. Additionally there was a point where the mechanism in the door wasn’t working so the door was not able to lock at all so for a couple days the front door to the entire accomadation was unlocked, all they did to compensate this was add a security guard to ‘monitor the door’ but they were situated at Kiln House so God forbid something happened how fast would this security guard come to help. However the worst one of recent has been the lift. The lift was broken for over TWO months and they didn’t care to fix it AT ALL. I kept emailing them especially in regards to the lift being broken and how move out date was getting closer + going to the reception in person to ask and they kept giving different dates that it’d be fixed and that date would come and it wasn’t fixed. The price you pay for this place doesn’t align with the style of living and the facilities they offer. To say this was an inconvenience is an understatement. I moved out today and it is still broken as I’m writing this review. My family and I had to be carrying my belongings up and down 4 flights of stairs It’s so inconsiderate because what if there is a student ( there probably was) who didn’t have family that could help them carry their belongings they’d have to struggle so much. I just think it’s disgusting. The only pro to this place is its location to Sainsbury’s and Lidl. But London House is under new management now so maybe things will be different for future students. But when it was under cloud students (this last year from September 2024-August 2025) absolutely awful sorry.

I am going to share my experience (so far) at the Kiln house managed by Brink Riley Properties. I contacted them through email and Mr. Gary was in touch with regular updates and providing flexibility to cater to my requirements. They have been very professional throughout the process and when I moved in the place lived up to my expectations. When there was a requirement to fix or replace something, I could easily raise a ticket and that always gets taken care of the management. So far my experience has been great and I would recommend this place to any student who is visiting stoke for their studies. Thank you Brink Riley Properties.
