My daughter is from the USA and attended a program at Nottingham Trent University and rented a studio at Minerva House. A month and a half into her program she had to have emergency surgery in Nottingham which required a long recovery. We stayed at Minerva house for 4 weeks time before we were able to fly to the US. My daughter was was advised to defer completion of her program until the following school year as she was unable to complete course work during her recovery and, as a result, lost her student Visa. Monica, at Minerva House was so helpful and compassionate. She walked us through the things we needed to do to be reimbursed for a portion of my daughter’s prepaid rent once her student visa was revoked. She continued to communicate with us after we left the country and until my daughter received her refund. We are very appreciative and thankful for Monica and everything she did to make a difficult situation more manageable.
