About Manchester

One of England's most dynamic cities, it is home to the first inter-city passenger railway station and a strong cultural scene. Universities are a prominent feature of Manchester. Manchester is renowned for its work in the fields of physics and chemistry. Manchester's most renowned hotel is The Midland. It is situated in front of the Central Library, close to St. Peter's Square.

The enormity and scope of Manchester's annual Christmas markets must be experienced in person (starting in mid-November 2019). You cannot miss the largest Yuletide celebration in the UK, with more than 300 vendors scattered over nine locations throughout the city.
