I had a great stay at the Chapter Hotel King’s Cross! The staff were extremely friendly, and the room was comfortable and quiet (mine overlooked the solar panels, so there was no noise from the neighbors and very little from the street, which was great). The room was clean when I arrived, except for some stains on the chairs and curtains, but they seemed ingrained, so nothing serious. The bed was very comfortable, and having a kitchenette in the room was very convenient, especially since I don’t always enjoy eating out.
As for improvements, I think it would be nice to have a small bedside lamp next to the beds, so I could read or relax in the evening without turning on the main light. And maybe adding a colander in the kitchen would be useful.
Otherwise, for the price and location, it’s perfect! I highly recommend it for your stay in London—the common areas are also great.
