Do You Need a Guarantor?

Most landlords and letting agents require a UK-based guarantor. Without one, you may be asked to pay your full year's rent upfront. To help students navigate this, we've partnered with Housing Hand, which can provide a recognised certificate of rental guarantee, giving both you and your landlord peace of mind.

It's worth knowing that several of our student halls don't require a UK-based guarantor at all, allowing students to pay rent in convenient instalments instead. To find out which properties qualify and how to get started, reach out to our team. We're happy to guide you through the booking process from start to finish.

I really enjoyed my time living at this student accommodation. The rooms are modern, nice, and leave you fully equipped with everything you need. Moving into this building as an international student was incredibly easy, as the team here really ensures everything you need is accessible, and they are always there to help. I felt very supported by the staff here any time I came back from class or work - they were always interested in checking in with how things are going (Especially Ali!!). The maintenance staff was always quick to respond to any issues in my flat, so there was nothing really to ever worry about. Definitely recommend this student accommodation!!! Will miss living here.

I think the facilities and service here are generally very good. There is a study room which has a quite good environment, and basic necessities such as the laundry room and the gym are also provided. Also, the staff are usually very friendly, responding to my request in a warm and timely manner. I don't give a full mark mainly because of its location. Although Wembley Park has almost everything that meets our demands in our daily life, the property is still a little bit far from central London. So if you study in a university in the central area of London, you might have to spend a relatively longer time on commuting, which is a little inconvenient and costly.

I stayed at Canvas Barnard Point for 51 weeks in a Studio, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The staff were always polite and quick to respond to any requests. Submitting maintenance requests through their app was super easy, and everything was handled efficiently. The property also organizes multiple events throughout the year, which creates a nice sense of community. Facilities like the gym, study room, and common room are well-maintained and very convenient. Would definitely recommend Canvas Barnard Point to anyone looking for comfortable student accommodation

I stayed at Canvas Wembley during the 2024–2025 academic year and had a great experience overall. I want to especially thank Sophie (Assistant Manager), who has been absolutely amazing throughout the year—always helpful, approachable, and in great spirits. Her support truly made my stay more comfortable and enjoyable. Even though she’s no longer part of the team, Sharon was also incredibly kind and accommodating during her time here. Luis was fantastic whenever any maintenance issues came up—I had a few bathroom problems early on, but he was quick, professional, and friendly every time. And while I didn’t have direct contact with Donna, she was always welcoming and kind whenever I saw her around the building. The rooms are nice and have just the right amount of space for one person. I made good use of the study room, which was quiet and perfect for getting work done. The common area was a great space to relax and meet others. The laundry room and gym could definitely use an upgrade, but everything else was great. The location is super convenient—just a short walk to the station and nearby stores. Thank you to the whole team for making this a positive place to live while studying!

I stayed here from February to August 2025. It was a 7-person flat with a shared kitchen and en-suite rooms. My room was on the 15th floor, and all my flatmates were from the University of West London. Most residents in this accommodation are Chinese, with some Indian students and others from different countries. I paid £200 per week, which is quite reasonable considering the facilities. The terrace is really nice with plenty of open space, and the study room is great for quiet work. The chill area is also a good place to relax. The gym, however, has limited equipment, and the washing machines are quite expensive. The main reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of my flatmates they were undergraduate students who often left the kitchen dirty and slammed doors at night. Additionally, there was frequent nearby construction and loud bike noises, which could get annoying at times. Overall, it’s a good place to stay if you prefer modern facilities and a convenient location, but the living experience can depend a lot on your flatmates.
