About Halls

Located in the heart of Leicester, The Zip Building offers a variety of modern, affordable and well-located luxury student accommodation. Just 2 minutes’ walk from De Montfort University, you’ll never have any trouble getting to university, while campus bus services provide a great way to get around the city – and the nearby Leicester Railway Station connects you to the rest of the country. Brand new, modern and comfortable our Zip Building student accommodation in Leicester comes in the form of studio apartments, 1-bed apartments, or 2, 3 and even 4-bed apartments – whatever you need, we can help provide it.

As well as a great location and a range of luxury accommodation options, all rooms come with double beds and all apartments are available with either en-suite shower rooms or luxury bathrooms. Free internet connection is included, as are water rates, and a £200 energy allowance is provided per person, so you’ll always be warm and comfortable. Every flat also includes a TV, a washer/dryer and access to car parking (which comes at an additional cost). Finally, a 24-hour Emergency Service is provided, so you’ll always be safe and looked-after.

Based just outside the campus for De Montfort University, the Zip Building is located in the heart of a bustling student area, with takeaways, pubs and restaurants to choose from – and health and fitness options like PureGym are only a few minutes down the road. The Zip Building’s prime location and its high-end student apartments meant that these rooms fill up quickly

Do You Need Guarantor?
Without a UK rental guarantor, most landlords and agents will require you to pay the full year’s rent upfront. We have partnered with Housing Hand who can provide you with a certificate of rental guarantee.
However, there some of our student accommodation do not need a UK based guarantor in order for students to pay their rent in instalments, to know more kindly get in touch with our team and we will be happy to assist you with these properties.

Yes, you can only if you are booking in Scotland where the legal age is 16 but in other countries we only accept bookings from individuals over 18. Additionally we only accept students with full time education.
Yes, we do offer accommodations exclusively for women, but only with prior notice and subject to available rooms.
If you're planning to pay your rent in installments, we ask for a UK Guarantor. This adds security, ensuring rent is paid in full even if you can't make a payment.
By becoming a Guarantor, you're agreeing to cover the rent and vouch for the resident's behavior if they can't pay. Please only agree if you're comfortable taking on this responsibility.
