Nothing here is secure. Bikes left in the bike shed when securely locked seemingly "go missing" when work is done to change the bike stands. Water temperature is far too hot and I have burnt myself too many times. Property management is terrible and slow to respond. No security and the "security line" is ran by students who are accomodation ambassadors. Bedroom doors seemingly lock themselves so if you go to the shared kitchen there's a chance you can be locked out if you don't carry your fob with you 24/7 Not to mention I didn't get my fob to enter until after a week after the collection date was booked in, lied too by the property manager saying they had emailed me when the student ambassador had no idea I existed. Good thing I'm from the city or I'd have been left homeless Not worth the effort, stress or money to stay here

AVOID this so called ‘accommodation’. This is a literal HOSTEL!!!. I would give this 0 starts if I could. I arrived 5 days a go and was welcomed to an unclean room and bathroom which is there ‘normal’. Your room will NOT be cleaned prior to moving in. There is mould in the bathroom, a main and bathroom door which doesn’t lock, a broken shower door which smashed onto my head. The entire room and communal kitchen is dirty. There is absolutely no security with the main gate open all night and people entering my room as the lock doesn’t work. The staff are horrible, unprofessional, and rude on the telephone and in person. The staff gave me a tour and explained that many things are broken and just need to be reported, this should have been done prior to moving in! There are no lifts. DO NOT believe the pictures that the accommodation have taken and are Google, the room is NOTHING as described. There is not a single positive thing I can say about this accommodation. I am now desperate to move out of this accommodation even despite starting university. This is BEYOND BELOW LIVING STANDARDS. I can’t understand how this accomodation is allowed to run. My advise as a second year student is to avoid booking, it is no where near as described on the internet.

I cannot stress enough how disappointing my experience has been at Albion Court. There is absolutely nothing good about this accommodation. To start, the showers are a nightmare—there’s no hot water in the shower past one month. Despite repeatedly complaining about this issue, no one comes to check or fix it. The lack of response to any maintenance requests is unacceptable. For instance, the electric hob has been broken for weeks, and nothing has been done about it. The facilities are equally abysmal. There’s no proper system for parcel collection, which is incredibly inconvenient. If your parcel weighs more than 10kg, you’re left to deal with it yourself. This is a joke, considering the high prices we are paying. We’re essentially throwing money away for what’s supposed to be “student accommodation” but offers no basic amenities or support. This is by far the worst accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. Avoid Albion Court at all costs.

Please don't stay at this accommodation. From the first day i moved in , i was greeted with a very unclean room that had a pungent smell coming from the bathroom, there was visible vandalism all over the room, including ink scribbled all over my main desk, and a shower handle which was loose and falling off; a visible danger hazard. On top of this, there was thick black mold on both the roof of the shower and the ledge of my window, to which the landlord attempts to just paint over (badly) each time which has negatively affected my health for my first month at university. Additionally, to fix these initial issues, the landlord also made completely unarranged entry into my room on multiple occasions and always comes across as very short tempered and rude over the phone and in person. There was also no attempt to pair me with other first year students which most student accommodations have for first year, which definitely negatively impacted my social aspect of university. The accommodation is NOTHING as described by the photos online and 1 star is even generous. Please don't trust the falsely nice reply's given on these reviews, as i can assure you the landlord/property manager is one truly nasty piece of work.

I have been staying here for about 3 months now. There is a cleaning staff, and the price of this accommodation is very reasonable. I appreciate the staff's work, and I can say that if something happens, they will try to help you out. However, there are continuous problems arising in this accommodation. You have to deal with some kind of situation (e.g. water, electricity, etc..) with the office, and it felt pretty hard for me. You have to keep messaging the office and make a ticket. I'm not sure if this is because the building is old, but you should be aware that there will be some kind of problem with your flat or your room. The rooms are very cheap, and if you don't want to pay more, then endure the problems. I didn't give 1 star because even though there are problems with my room, the staff managed to solve them. But even if they solved one problem, I had another problem with my room and the flat. Also, there's no elevator here, so consider that if you want to live on the 2nd or 3rd floor of the flat. If you're sensitive to noise, book rooms that are not next to the road. I didn't know this before I stayed here, and the noise from the window was very stressful.
