Cancellation policy

Cooling Off Period:

You have a 3 working day cooling-off period.

You may cancel your contract by giving us written notice by post or e-mail. The notice must reach us by the end of the 3rd working day after the day we confirm to you that your accommodation booking is concluded and before you collect your keys for your accommodation (check-in), whichever is the sooner.

If you validly cancel during the cooling-off period, we will reimburse the security deposit fee and any pre-paid accommodation fees.

Cancellations before you have moved in:

Outside of the cooling-off period outlined above, you may request to cancel your accommodation contract in writing. A Termination of Tenancy payment of £75.00 will apply which we may deduct from your security deposit.

You will be required to find a replacement tenant, reasonably acceptable to Mansion Student, to take over your accommodation contract. Mansion Student will use reasonable endeavors to help you to find a replacement tenant but cannot guarantee that a replacement will be available. Mansion Student will assist in finding a replacement tenant, but this will only apply when all other rooms in the property are occupied.

Please note: You remain responsible for all rent due as defined in your accommodation contract until a replacement tenant has been found for your accommodation. Once the replacement tenant has completed all the required documentation and made any payments that are due, we will process the refund of your security deposit if applicable and refund any advance rent payments that may be due to you.

Cancellations after you have moved into the accommodation:

The cooling-off period ends once you have moved into the accommodation, even if you move into the accommodation within 3 working days of concluding your contract.

A Termination of Tenancy payment of £75.00 will apply which we may deduct from your security deposit

      I think one of the best things about Austin Hall is the management and the team here, they are really nice, and if you ever have any issues they will try their very best to sort things out. The location of the accom is great, there is some greenery around, it’s close to unis and the shops. There is plenty of space and storage in your room so you can organise all your stuff as you want, even the en-suite comes with storage! The accom is diverse and there is monthly community events where you can mingle and meet others. Overall it’s a great place to be at, you get lots for the money you pay.

      I like it here at Austin Hall, the manager Josh keeps asking me to clean my kitchen because there is food debris everywhere and he says it is not safe, I will try my best to keep it clean Josh, Asha is on holiday but she is friendly on reception, thank you for helping me. I like the cleaner he is very chatty

      the team is enthusiastic to help when needed! They go above and beyond to ensure our time here is great. When there is a maintenance problem they are quick to resolve the issue. They promote a good social environment that is welcoming and enjoyable. We had a problem with our fridge and josh went out of his way to help us tackle it. Me and my flatmates have really enjoyed our time here and we would definitely recommend! The team are superb true superstars.

      We recently dropped our son off at Asquith House and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The hospitality team are warm, caring, and genuinely reassuring, which makes us feel he is in safe hands. The rooms are newly refurbished to a high standard, and the facilities are excellent. Special thanks to Josh, the manager, who was extremely accommodating and made the move-in process smooth and stress-free. A great start to student life!
