Social Hub Glasgow is one of the oldest hostels in the city. The city has many universities and colleges for your interest. That includes the University of Glasgow, the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow Caledonian University, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Queen Margaret University, Glasgow Kelvin College, City of Glasgow College, and the Adam Smith Business School.
Here in Glasgow City, you not only get to explore good universities but also some very periodic and ancient places. If you are an artist, then you must visit the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.
You can even go hiking or trekking on weekends in Loch Lomond, Scotland's largest loch, or Glencoe. There are numerous attractions to visit, including the Riverside Museum of Transport and Travel, Glasgow Cathedral, George Square, The Necropolis, Glasgow Botanic Gardens, The Burrell Collection, and Stirling Castle.

Cancellation policy
Before and after the Check-In Date, the Contracting Party has the right to cancel or modify the Hotel Booking under the applicable cancellation or modification procedure:
Hotel Stay (including Hotel Stay Group Booking) (Clause A.3)
Hotel Extended Stay (including Hotel Extended Stay Group Booking) (Clause B.3)
Hotel Student Stay (including Hotel Student Stay Group Booking) (Clause C.4)
2. Termination for cause by statutory provisions remains unaffected.
3. TSH UK has the right to cancel the Hotel Booking with the Contracting Party in the event of a violation of the Hotel Agreement, unless the violation, given its specific nature or minor importance, does not, at TSH UK’s sole discretion, justify this termination and its legal effects. In case of termination based on Clause 3, the payment obligation for the Contracting Party towards TSH UK about the Hotel Booking will continue unabridged for the remaining contract period
CANCELLATION/MODIFICATION PROCEDURE• Refundable Hotel Booking
The following cancellation terms apply: -
1 day or more before Check-In Date – The Contracting Party is entitled to cancel the Hotel Booking until three (3:00) p.m. local time on the day before the Check-In Date, without charge. Any amount already paid will be refunded to the Contracting Party. - 1 day or less before Check-In Date and after Check-In Date (‘early leave’) – From three (3:00) p.m. local time on the day before the Check-In Date, the Contracting Party’s cancellation will not result in any refund and any unpaid Hotel Fees remain payable in full.
The following modification terms apply: -
1 day or more before Check-In Date – The Contracting Party is entitled to modify the Hotel Booking until three (3:00) p.m. local time on the day before the Check-In Date, depending on the modification a refund or surcharge will apply. - 1 day or less before Check-In Date and after Check-In Date (‘early leave’)- From three (3:00) p.m. local time on the day before the Check-In Date, the Contracting Party’s modification to shorten or downgrade the stay, will not result in any refund and any unpaid Hotel Fees remain payable in full. The Contracting Party’s modification to lengthen or upgrade the stay is subject to availability and a surcharge may apply.
Non-refundable Hotel Booking
Cancellation or modification of the Hotel Booking by the Contracting Party will not result in any refund and any unpaid Hotel Fees remain payable in full.
The Contracting Party must cancel or modify the Hotel booking by written declaration to TSH UK (an email to reservations@thesocialhub.co will be sufficient) or the relevant travel agency.
Hotel Stay Group Booking
In the case of a Hotel Stay Group Booking, numbers 1. and 2. of this Clause A.3 do not apply and instead, the cancellation/modification procedure as set out in the Group Booking Agreement applies.
Do You Need a Guarantor?
Most landlords and letting agents require a UK-based guarantor. Without one, you may be asked to pay your full year's rent upfront. To help students navigate this, we've partnered with Housing Hand, which can provide a recognised certificate of rental guarantee, giving both you and your landlord peace of mind.
It's worth knowing that several of our student halls don't require a UK-based guarantor at all, allowing students to pay rent in convenient instalments instead.
