This is one of the best-located studios in Glasgow's student accommodations. It's surrounded by a variety of supermarkets catering to different budgets, such as Lidl, Tesco, Sainsbury's, M&S, and Poundland, as well as fast food restaurants like McDonald's, KFC, Pizza Hut, and Nando's. The subway station, train station, banks, and shopping streets are also very close by. All these locations are within a five-minute walk from the apartment, making it extremely convenient.
Riverside House is also one of the few student accommodations in Glasgow that offers night-time security. It's always reassuring to see the staff at the front desk when returning home at 11 PM.
The facilities here are quite new, especially the bathroom, which is also spacious. However, when I first arrived, there were some minor issues with the microwave and heating in the room, which is why I give it a four-star rating. But after reporting these issues, the maintenance staff quickly fixed them. If anything is missing or if there are quality problems, the manager helps us purchase new equipment, which is then installed by the maintenance staff. I feel they are very responsive, and the speed at which they handle problems is definitely faster compared to many other student accommodations.
The staff occasionally organizes small events where you can enjoy free pizza and desserts, and they also distribute a lot of discount coupons.
Additionally, the river view from the room is stunning, allowing me to enjoy the sunset. I love being able to bask in the sun during the rare sunny days here.
Such a reliable apartment is surprisingly also affordable. It offers the best value for money among all the student accommodations I know of, and it's also one of the cheapest options available. I highly recommend staying here. You should book early because I remember they tend to raise prices towards the end.
