If you receive this notification after your tenancy start date, you remain responsible for rent payments up to the date you provide evidence and we confirm your release. No other cancellation requests will be accepted before or during the tenancy.
Finding a Replacement Occupier for your accommodation.
If you wish to end your license to occupy early, you may find a replacement licensee acceptable to the landlord. The new licensee will sign a new agreement, which may be at a different rent to match the current market rate.
Before we accept a replacement:
Once the replacement licensee has signed and paid, they will assume responsibility for all future rent and obligations. Until then, you remain responsible for the rent until the original end date.
Most landlords and letting agents require a UK-based guarantor. Without one, you may be asked to pay your full year's rent upfront. To help students navigate this, we've partnered with Housing Hand, which can provide a recognised certificate of rental guarantee, giving both you and your landlord peace of mind.
It's worth knowing that several of our student halls don't require a UK-based guarantor at all, allowing students to pay rent in convenient instalments instead. Spent a few months at Gorge and it really is a good place to stay!! Quite compact, a bit expensive, but the renting experience was really good, with very kind employees, no noise or other disruptions, gym 24/7 and great coffee machine. Would recommend the upper floors with view to the St. Lukes campus :)

Well-designed and peaceful communal lounge with good amenities. Great closets and storage space in the room. The management team of the building is also very responsive, respectful, and helpful.
