Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Booking Information for 2020/21      

We fully understand that there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 at the moment and possible consequent travel restrictions. If you book a room for September 2020 today, but are then disallowed from travelling to the UK due to the relevant  Government travel restrictions, exclusively as a result of Covid-19 and therefore no longer require the room, you will be released from your booking – see below Terms & Conditions.

Terms & Conditions: 

 • This guarantee is open to all international students applying for higher education in the UK for the 2020/21 academic year.  

 • If an applicant is disallowed from travelling to the UK exclusively as a result of Covid19, they need to provide evidence from either the UK Government or from the  Government where you live confirming this advice (in English). This must be provided to the Host no later than 1st August 2020.  

• On production of the relevant Government confirmation (in English), the applicant's booking will be cancelled in full, with a full refund of any 2020/21 rental payments made.

• All applicants wishing to take up this option need to contact the accommodation where they placed their booking directly in order to activate this Guarantee.

• Any applicants who do not provide evidence by the dates outlined above, will be held to their tenancy agreement and will be liable for all contractual charges. 

• Email confirmation will be sent to all students that are accepted onto this guarantee once they have paid advance rent and confirmed their guarantor details where applicable. 

• Please note in the case of dual occupancy both parties must be eligible for this guarantee in order for it to apply. 

• Please note that if you cancel the room and rebook, the room may not be available, and the price may be revised in August and September 2020. 

• These terms and conditions are correct as of 25th March 2020 but the property provider reserves the right to change them or remove this guarantee at any time without prior notice.

      The staff at Northernhay House are so friendly and helpful. Ruby is amazing-she’s very smiley and having a chat with her always brightens my day. Every student accommodation needs a “Ruby”! 😊 I really appreciate the effort that goes into decorating reception for different times of year, and putting events on in reception to commemorate special days. There are often free things at reception, like pancake mix and lemons for pancake day, chocolates for Valentine’s and lots of other fun and thoughtful things. Thank you!

      I've had a truly positive experience living here. The facilities are well-maintained, modern, and thoughtfully designed to support both comfort and convenience, which is especially important for international students like myself. One of the standout aspects of my stay has been the incredible support from the staff, particularly Rutwik Govardhan. His willingness to go above and beyond, not just with accommodation-related matters but also with academic and personal guidance, has made a real difference in my journey. It’s rare to come across someone so genuinely caring, patient, and approachable. When you're far from home, having someone like Rutwik around—someone who listens, understands, and acts—is invaluable. His support has made this place feel more like a community than just student housing. Grateful to be part of such a welcoming and supportive environment. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for more than just a place to stay.

      2024/25 en suite : good location, walk 25 mins to main campus, got bus station nearby, to campus around 17mins. good location for near depot and the barn etc. one of the cheapest spot, big room, double bed, 4ppl flat for me, small kitchen but enough, have good glass for isolating the noise from the pub. -1 star for fixed shower head and mixed toilet (toilet and shower in same room not separate design)

      This is one of the top accommodations in Exeter. The rooms are well-designed and spacious, and the kitchen offers ample space for storing your belongings. Rutwik is incredibly helpful and responsive, definitely the go-to person for any support. I’ve had a wonderful experience staying here and would highly recommend booking it without delay.
