Honestly, coming to a new country with a different culture was both exciting and nerve-wracking, I was anxious about many things, especially finding the right student accommodation. While exploring several options, I came across Parker House. Its proximity to my university and the positive reviews made me consider it—and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walked into the reception, I was warmly welcomed by the staff. The environment felt safe and comfortable right away. One of the most reassuring aspects of living at Parker House is the exceptional level of security. The locking systems are reliable, and I’ve never had issues with lost parcels or safety concerns. I took platinum room. It's quite big and spacious, It truly feels like a secure home away from home. Whenever friends visit me, they often comment on how nice my accommodation is compared to theirs. They always say, “You’re living in such a good place!” What sets Parker House apart is the constant support from the staff. No matter the hour—even at 3 a.m.—someone is always available at reception to help with emergencies or answer questions. Another highlight is the effort they put into building a sense of community. They organize events with food and treats, offering opportunities to socialize and connect with others—something especially valuable when you're far from home. Overall, every penny spent at Parker House has been worth it. The staff are always responsive, and any issues are quickly resolved without stress. I’ve truly had an amazing experience living here. Thank you to the entire Parker House team for making this place feel like home.

The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming and willing to go out of their way to ensure that their residents' needs are met. Any issues I had during my stay were minor and were swiftly and efficiently dealt with. It's a safe space and has been the perfect accompaniment to my first year at university.

Good student accommodation with secure entry gates. Just a couple of minutes to Abertay University, which is diagonally across the road. There are various grades of accommodation and you can be in flats of 5 or 7. Each "flat" has a communal kitchen with TV lounge. In the kitchen you get a shelf in a fridge and a shelf in the freezer. You also get a wall cupboard. A drawer and a cupboard under the worktop. So, you have lots of storage for food. In the Bronze and Silver bedrooms you also have an under bed storage space where you could put other food items. Each room also has a wardrobe, a bookcase, an open desk with three drawers at one end, and finally, there are three shelves on the wall. Each of the individual rooms is off a common corridor and are ensuite. You get an electronic tag on a lanyard to open exterior and interior doors. There's a gym and laundry room in block A. The electronic tag on the lanyard lets you access your own block and block A. For the laundry machines, you use a card or app which you need to load money on to. Wifi is available throughout the building. It's fast and if you only need it for two devices it's free. More than 2 devices cost extra, as does cloud storage, but you probably don't need it. Make sure your child lets you know when booking for the following year opens because with my son, we could have got a discount and the cheaper room had he told us. Of course, it could have been a clever ploy to get a Silver room instead of a Bronze. When booking, if you want a view of the town rather than the carpark, you can ask for a room at the side facing the roundabout. However, a room on the front of the building will be noisier due to traffic. There's a convenience store, Tesco Express, and Lidl close by, as well as Poundstretcher. When moving your child into the accommodation, you only get 20-minute parking, but they provide trollies to help. Once you've dropped off all the luggage, take your car to Bell Street multi-storey carpark, with is across the road. At the weekends, it's £3 all day, and it's open until 8pm.
