We rented an apartment with 2 bedrooms, 1 shared bath with A/C. The apartment is like a hotel room. You enter into your private communal living area of the kitchen. The communal area has its own A/C control/unit & TV. The kitchen has a small table with 2 chairs. The kitchen includes a stove, dishwasher, small fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. They provide the dishwashing soap, sponge, dish towel, & 1 tablet for the dishwasher. They also provide an assortment of instant coffee, salt/pepper packets & sugar packets. The cupboards are stocked with a few plates, cups and utensils. The communal living area is also where the bathroom is located. The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet. Tons of shelves for storing your toiletries, spare toilet paper, bath mat, 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels per room. The place does not supply any toiletries or hair dryers.
The two bedrooms require you to use designated card keys to enter. Both rooms were identical, just mirrored. They each had a double bed, small desk with a chair and a closet. There were also cubbies above the bed and desk for storage. Each room also had its own A/C control/unit. Unfortunately during our stay, one of the rooms, the A/C was not working. We were able to mitigate that by turning on the A/C in the communal area and propped open our bedroom door to let the cool air in.
The facility has an elevator to get to each floor.
Pros:
The check in folks were great. They also have a sign behind the counter with various suggestions for where to get breakfast, dinner, pubs. There was always someone there if you had any questions. Wifi was free and had no issues.
Tons of storage in the rooms, bathroom and kitchen. The apt and individual rooms had their own A/C units. Kitchen was nice and had almost everything you might need. Everything was clean. The bed and the bedding were comfortable.
The building is great. Super clean. It’s got a gym, great co-working space w/free coffee, free laundry facility, and a dedicated quiet co-working space area.
Located right in the heart of the city center & everything was close.
Cons:
The space is very small. The table in the kitchen is barely big enough for 2 people and there were 3 of us. The bedrooms were also very small. Barely any room to move around if there are 2 of you or if you have the closet door open. There was no way to keep the door open which means if you needed to use the bathroom, you needed to make sure to have your room key otherwise you’d be locked out of the bedroom. We kept 1 of our 2 rooms keys in the communal kitchen area or used the desk chairs to prop the doors open. Using the chair to prop the door open made going in and out of the room difficult because of how small they were.
Parking is a nightmare. While they do have a free parking lot, there wasn’t a time when there were any spots available. There is a Qpark parking garage that provides a discount to Coleman Court guests.
They did not provide any soap in the bathroom for washing hands or to shower with.
Overall, if you only need a place to sleep and shower and there aren’t a lot of you, it’s great. It is a true dorm experience. Keep in mind that a double bed is just ever so slightly narrower than a queen bed. Also, you are located in the city center, so if your windows are open you will hear city life. But when the windows were closed, we didn’t hear anything outside or inside the facility.
