Paris Ivry, Paris

Like every new property it had its teething problems at first but everything is fairly well organised after almost a year of the buildings inauguration. Its a decent place for a short stay (a few months maybe). Its a little overpriced considering you can get a nice spot within Paris which would feel more like home by paying just a little extra.

I lived in this student residence from September 2021 to December 2022, and it has ended up being a very comfortable experience. The residence is well connected to the center of Paris, since it is 5 minutes away from the metro, bus, and tram stop of Porte d'Ivry. There is a supermarket, a bakery, and several restaurants in the square next to the residence, which makes everything much easier and practical. The neighborhood is really calm (both Ivry-sur-Seine and the nearby Olympiades and 13th Arrondissement, and being in front of the Bd. Périphérique did not bother me too much: my room was well soundproofed. My room was quite big and sunlight entered all day round, which was the best thing about it for me! The building is very new (I was the first person to live in my room), so the furniture, walls, windows, heating, electronic appliances... must still be in really good condition in all rooms. I had a private kitchen and bathroom inside the room, both of them with everything I needed. The common facilities include a kitchen/living room laundry room, a gym, and a study room, as well as a semi-outdoor patio where we can also hang out. On the first months that I stayed in the residence (after it had just opened), there were many problems with the heating and electricity (which in winter made it especially uncomfortable). However, the managers took care of it all, and since February I have had no further inconveniences in my room. The elevators get stuck sometimes, which should be improved. The managers are very attentive and very helpful, I am super grateful for that! For foreign students that have just arrived to France, it is really helpful that they speak French, English and Spanish perfectly. They are there on the weekdays and reachable by phone. It is true that it would be nice to have some personnel on the weekends in case there was any emergency.

I had a very positive experience during my 6 month-long stay at the residence. The property is clean, safe and well-maintained. The management team, especially Valentin have been extremely nice and helpful, and were always open for queries or to offer assistance. I found the location to be very convenient as well, with an Intermarche and several fast food restaurants less than 100m away. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a hassle-free, peaceful living experience.
