I stayed at Yugo Urbanum for three months during summer 2025, and I would like to share a sincere and helpful review for future residents.
I lived on the 6th floor of Building 1, in the smallest studio available. The apartment is small, but extremely well designed, very functional, and perfectly clean. The common areas are also clean and regularly maintained. Of course, like in any residence, some residents are not always respectful and may leave shared spaces messy. There is an underground parking garage, which was very convenient since I had a car. The trash bins were sometimes full, but overall the maintenance was okay.
Regarding the location, the residence is close to the central station in Frankfurt. I was pleasantly surprised that the neighborhood felt quite safe. My apartment faced Mainzer Landstraße, a large and very busy boulevard at all hours of the day. Because of the traffic, it is impossible to keep the window open all day as it can be quite noisy. In summer, it gets very hot, especially on the 6th floor, and with only one window it is difficult to create proper airflow. It is also not really possible to open the window at night to cool down because of the noise. However, once the window is closed, the apartment is completely quiet, which shows the excellent sound insulation.
It is also important to mention that two buildings are currently under construction directly in front of the residence. Construction work sometimes starts as early as 7 a.m., and the noise can be noticeable. Even good insulation cannot block everything. This is important to know because you cannot see this situation on Street View.
Finally, the staff truly deserve a 10/10. The team is incredibly kind, very helpful, and always ready to find solutions. I would especially like to thank Julia, Klara, and Johannes for their professionalism and kindness. They were very understanding and attentive throughout my entire stay. They really make a difference and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
In conclusion, I sincerely recommend this residence because it has many strong points: cleanliness, smart apartment design, safety, and an amazing team!!!
