Station Court, London

I lived here from September-June for my second year of Uni and really enjoyed it. The staff are wonderful and really accommodating. The flats are comfortable and the location is actually good too. Having an ensuite is lovely and the fortnightly cleaners for the communal areas are thorough. Maintenance team are also good. The kitchens and bedrooms are comfy and spacious, with good facilities for housing 6 flatmates, like two sinks, 6 hobs, two fridges. The flats are well-insulated and warm. The building is tucked away behind houses far from the main road so it's really quiet and peaceful, with some nice views, but just minutes from Seven Sisters station too. It's well-connected to places like Tesco, Sainsbury, and hundreds of shops down High Road like TFC. I used the gym at Finsbury Park as the Victoria line is so fast and frequent, and my commute into UCL was 32 mins. The only cons are the fact that it's pricey-ish (£197 p/w for 6 months, £149 for 10) and located in Zone 3, meaning higher rates of travel and also practically no chance of getting into central on anything but the tube. Washing facilities are also expensive. But otherwise, the place is peaceful, well-maintained, well-managed, well-connected, hassle-free. The wifi is excellent, staff are lovely, water temperate in the taps is also brill. The desk space is amazingly big and perfect for studying. I found it a really pleasant year.

The place is amazing. Everything is new or well preserved. The staff is very polite and helpfull. But there is a lot of noise because the other students are very louldy. And the shared areas of the flats are very dirty.

Super safe, organized and recently renovated. Nice place to meet students from all over the world. Helpfull and kind staff always ready to help. Facilities and rooms very confortable.

i had a wonderful experience! - the staff are so so wonderful!! always ready to help and just rlly lovely and warm. I once had a maintenance that got fixed as soon as I reported. - great amenities that I didn’t think i would use as much as i ended up using. they have many study rooms that I frequently visited, cinemas rooms and a vending machine. I was especially thankful for these facilities in the summer when the heat was unbearable bc all of these rooms were air conditioned - rlly good location. 2 mins from a corner shop and 10 mins from sainsbury’s and tesco. close to overground and seven sisters. - lots of community events!! uni can be very lonely especially in big city like london. so it’s nice that the accommodation staff keeps that in mind and organises events. drawback: - in the summer when you leave the window open, you will hear trains. this is extremely frustrating. - while the accommodation area is safe, the general area where all the stores are is scary to visit after 9 pm.

Day 1 - Room curtains are broken. Many cigarette burn marks on the window sill. The window facing to the opposite building window, so once I open the curtains, people can see me from opposite side of the window. I cannot always closed the curtains, because I want light. The room’s bathroom has cigarette smell. Day 2 - I tried to required for changing a different room yesterday after I check in, but still didn’t give me a respond of when and where. They only said they going to fix the curtains, but I request a new room. Day 3 - Also, the kitchen is very dirty, no one clean it. Fruit fly are everywhere in the kitchen almost hundreds, and they are going out from the kitchen. Each time I open my door, flys are come in my room. I am in Room C just right beside the kitchen, I cannot avoid at all. Fruit fly still in my room keep flying. Day 4 - I request for change a new room. They always use no cleaner in the building for excuse keep delay my request. And the receptionist (Isabel) try to convince me to stay saying issue is usual. (See photo, these are not usual at all) Avoid this place for God’s sake. RUN! I did my best to warn you. I said room is nothing like the photo in uhomes (“photo is for commercial use” Gobritanya agent said confidently. Day 5 - eventually I changed a new room but, receptionist name : Isabel and the cleaner that she send to my room without notifying me. Yesterdays I was moved partly my belonging to my new room, because I cannot bring my two heavy luggages to upstairs (floor 2). I look for help if there is any men receptionist here to help, and I asked Isabel, she said no one help, and tomorrow 3pm could be have it. Then I asked her can I leave my belonging in the old room, when someone can help me to move, I’ll check out the old room today Aug.21. She said yes, and promise me no one will come in to my room, and my belonging will be safe. Today 10:15am, a cleaner comes into my old room without any notification to me. She picking up my belonging and turn off my surveillance camera. I was in my new room, and seeing this happen from my phone recording, which is frightened me. I immediately call Station call 24/7, Isabel ask me why she is in my room, Is this because I didn’t locked my room? I said I did lock. She pretend she forget what she promise me yesterday (no one will touch my stuff, come in my room, and check out today when someone here to help). Isabel is not showing any sense of responsibility and apology. She said that I was suppose to check out yesterday. And later I found out she is the person who send the cleaner to my room, but yesterday she is also the person who makes me to trust her that I can leave my belonging in the old room. I feel upset for this, and the kind of bullying happening that makes me feel. How can I trust my belonging is safe in my room when I am away? The receptionist is suppose to help, but she gives me trouble because I trust her. When it comes to privacy and security, how can student accommodation do this? And insist that I should have moved out yesterday? I communicated with her (Isabel). If it really didn't work, she should have found a way for me yesterday instead of promising me is okay, but not notifying me another day, sent someone come into my room moving my stuffs!
