Really enjoyed my time here so far! Everyone who works at reception, especially Phoebe, Beth and Dylan, are super helpful. Maintenance is speedy and reliable. I love the study space in the mezzanine as an alternative to studying in my room.

Rooms are great, and everyone is kind and helpful. The events are great, my favourites are the arts and crafts and I love the free food. Phoebe is very supportive and always ready to help.

Honestly, IQ Highbury has made my move to London much smoother. The rooms are amazing! The connectivity is unbeatable you can get anywhere in central London in 15-20 mins. The staff is lovely and always willing to help, which makes it feel like home. Definitely one of the best student accommodations!!

I was very anxious to book here, as I hadn’t seen the place before and I’m coming from a different country, but tbh it was a good decision on my part. The place is great—my ensuite room is spacious, the bathroom is really nice and clean, and the kitchen has three hoods, with each student having their own cabinets (though I would prefer a better ventilation system for the kitchen). The gym is small but does the job. I also really like the social spaces—the study rooms, communal area, and terrace. The staff are very, very lovely and friendly. Finally, it’s a lovely area—Finsbury. It's close to the center (zone 2). It has two beautiful nearby parks. The tube (subway) is very close, and there are two bus stops right in front of the dorm. The area has also a great diversity which was good because I feel homesick alot and it's nice to have multiple middle eastern supermarkets nearby. I’m writing this review because I know how it feels to look for accommodation when you’re in a different country or continent and terrified of everything. Below are pics either from the dorm itself, front door (bus stops), or nearby parks. 🫶🏼 P.S. The railroad noise does exist, it's true but only if you open the window.

Do You Need Guarantor?

Frequently Asked Questions

The physical safety and psychological security of the students is taken care of at the property. This is done through the use of CCTV cameras, on-site security staff and on-site teams available around the clock, 365 days a year. Secure door entry is also employed at the entrance to the property. This can only be breached if you physically open the door for someone. That is why we suggest you take special care to not allow people to tailgate you.
The property does not accept guardianship of the students under the age of 18.
The short answer is yes, as long as you meet all the prerequisites. This means that before you bring a TV, you must know whether your room has a TV point. Your TV should not be larger than 21 inches and should be able to free-stand as wall-mounted TVs are not allowed. The property provides TVs and TV licenses in the communal areas but if you want a TV in your own room, you will have to arrange for a license yourself. If you have any more questions, you can check in with the on-site team.
Yes, most sites feature dedicated bike storage areas. As long as you are a resident at the property, have registered your bike and obtained a bike tag, you will be able to bring and store your bikes at the property.
Yes, you can bring your car and most properties do have dedicated car storage space. Having said that, the number of car storage spaces are limited and are filled very quickly. Also to be noted is the fact that most of these places are situated close to the university and everyday amenities, makes the role of a car redundant. Therefore, we suggest that you consider all factors before deciding.
