I had a very pleasant stay at the Student Roost. The rooms are spacious, with all the utilities that you need and more than enough power plugs throughout the room. All flats have big kitchens which have sufficient separate spaces for everyone. I had no issues with hot water, and the heating worked just fine. The staff are truly helpful and kind, making your stay even more pleasent. In my opinion, the only negative thing one could say is that the garbage could be taken out at least twice a week instead of once, which on its own is not enough to change the fact that the Roost deserves a 5-star rating!

Comfortable, safe, and like a home away from home, The Boulevard was superb! There is a secure bike lock area and garden, the rooms are spacious with lots of storage, and an ensuite bathroom. The kitchen has everything you might want. There would also be quick repairs to anything that wasn't working in the flat/apartment. In terms of safety, a digital key card is what opens your room, and your room automatically locks. No one else can get in when your in the room or out of the room, unless you let them. This made me feel very safe staying in the room. Just don't lose your key card- it costs £10! That's a major downside to The Boulevard: washing and drying here is very expensive (at least £4-£8 per load). Another is that it's out of town, so you have to get on a bus to do anything fun. I stayed here during my 1st year of uni. The staff were so helpful when I had a problem in the flat/apartment, and got it sorted it double time. I was really impressed. There is a member of staff onsite 24/7, and many of them are chatty and will have a bit of laugh with you if their not busy. That made the Boulevard feel very friendly. The Boulevard staff organise wellbeing and social get-together (e.g. picnic in the park, Christmas tree decorating, bingo) throughout the year, so there's always ways to connect with your neighbours and not feel isolated. Of course a person's experience is unique to them, but personally I would recommend.
