Allen Court, Manchester

As a first year student living at Allen Court, I have enjoyed my experience so far with very helpful and friendly staff who are responsive and willing to help however they can. Having your own kitchen even if you can only cook on hob, means you can relax after studying without tripping up over people trying to eat. The water pressure is fantastic and bed is fairly comfortable. However the sink in the kitchen is very small, theres no window in the bathroom leading to dampness, and there are little chances to be social other than with course friends as to be expected with a studio. However, these are small compromises in the larger picture and i could have much worse problems, i have grown into it over time and feels quite homely now :)

Feels like a safe area and the staff are super friendly. The only problem I have with my studio flat is the amount of storage and with the noise - but the storage you can fix with your own furniture and the noise isn't all that bad. There are social events and the laundry and bins are easy to navigate. Problems with the flat are usually solved very efficiently. I'd live here again if I wasn't moving away :)

Rebooked for the second year due to a great experience in my first. Although I faced an issue with damp this year uncovered and it was seriously affecting my health. Liam was amazing at handling this. He responded to my concerns within 2 hours (I messaged him at 4AM!) and took entire consideration about how it was affecting me & offered me a new room instantly. He did this in the early hours of the morning & assured me they would fix the problem, offering me a new room as a permanent solution if needs be - this reassurance drastically reduced my anxiety and allowed me to feel both listened to and safe in regards to my health. Liam over the past few years has been amazing at fixing issues - any maintenance problems I’ve had he’s always fixed immediately - be it water, broken items etc. - he fixes it without any issue! He’s also super friendly and never makes you feel like a burden. Even if he works over hours - he never complains, instead he always offer the biggest smile and upmost help. Ally is also super friendly and approachable, always dealing with parcels and ready for a friendly chat whenever. The team definitely make the place feel like a nice place to live - the amenities and surrounding areas are also pretty good.

I’ve loved living at Allen’s Court. It’s quiet, close to shops and to the bus stop. The rooms have everything you need and there is good security making you feel safe. Ally and Liam are so kind and helpful, supporting you with any maintenance needs. I would highly recommend!

I’ve lived at Allen Court for a semester and it’s easily the best student accommodation I’ve stayed in! The location is good, just a 25-minute walk to the University of Manchester campus and close to supermarkets, restaurants and buses. The staff are super friendly and always quick to help with any issues, like fixing a broken heater. The rooms are modern, clean, and come with everything you need. The common areas are also great. I’ve made so many friends here and feel totally safe and at home. 100% recommend to anyone looking for student housing in Manchester.
