    Unless the context otherwise requires, words and expressions defined in your Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement shall have the same meanings in this cancellation policy.

    Unless the tenancy agreement has already commenced and you have not collected the keys to your room, you may cancel your tenancy, by giving notice in writing or by e-mail to the manager at the property, at any time before the 1st of May 2026 or within the period of forty eight hours (48) hours of the date on which you sign your first tenancy agreement for the 2026/27 Academic Year or Semester (the “Cooling-Off Period”). Once we receive such a notice, we will confirm receipt, cancel your tenancy, and will refund your Advance Rent Payment, together with any other payments of rent you may have made

    Outside the cooling-off period, you may request to cancel your tenancy by notice in writing or by e-mail to the manager at the property. However, you will remain liable for the rent payable under the tenancy agreement until a suitable replacement tenant has been found.

    If you are not successfully awarded a visa to travel and study, then we can help. Firstly, we may be able to transfer you to another one of our residences around the globe if you are going to study elsewhere. If you are not going to study elsewhere or we do not have accommodation available in your new city/town of study, we will release you from your tenancy agreement, provided the following criteria are met:

    1. You submit your request to cancel, in writing or by e-mail, to the manager at the property, within 3 days of your visa rejection letter: and
    2. You provide the manager with a copy of your rejection letter from the embassy or visa office.

    If your tenancy has commenced, you will remain liable for the rent payable under the tenancy agreement until receipt of the above

    If you are not successful in obtaining your place at your chosen university, then don’t worry, we can help. Firstly, we may be able to transfer you to another one of our residences if you are going to study elsewhere. If you are not going to study elsewhere or we do not have accommodation available in your new city/town of study, we will release you from your tenancy agreement, provided the following criteria are met:

    1. You submit your request to cancel, in writing or by e-mail to the manager at the property, before 22nd August 2026; and
    2. You provide the manager with a copy of your rejection letter from the University or UCAS.

    Once we have your request, we will confirm receipt and refund your advance rent payment, together with any other rent payments you may have made.

    About as good as student accommodation in London can get, but not without some of the usual issues. I shared a kitchen with 10 people, which was as chaotic as you could expect. It was very hard to keep the place clean as people get complacent over the year, and there is no cleaning service provided. The kitchen itself is very well equipped and spacious. The en suite bedrooms are really great. There is a double bed, desk, cupboard, some shelves and drawers. The windows are large but don't open very far, so in the summer the room was often like a sauna. There are also some weird minor issues like the fact that the showerhead is tethered to the wall for some reason and the radiators can be temperamental. In terms of other amenities, there are communal washers and dryers, albeit only two of each - way too few for a building of around 100! Would love to see more added, especially given that most of the other common areas are often unused by people, so they might as well be converted into laundry spaces. The gym is basically useless, there is like two exercise bikes and some weights - seems like it was only made so that they can say that there is a gym. Having said all of this, I did enjoy my stay, it's a great location near the bus stop and Jubilee Line and a relatively new build. As always, it is overpriced, but such is the world of London student accommodation.

    I had an outstanding stay at Yugo Element Bermondsey and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in London.🥰 From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with professionalism, kindness, and genuine care. A special thank you to Andy and Nora, whose dedication, responsiveness, and commitment to residents make a real difference. They are always approachable, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure everyone has the best possible experience. I would also like to give special recognition to Mohamed, the security officer, for his professionalism, friendliness, and respectful attitude. His presence provides a great sense of safety and comfort, and he plays an important role in creating a welcoming and secure environment for all residents. The residence itself is modern, clean, well-maintained, and perfectly located. The facilities are excellent, the common areas are enjoyable, and the overall atmosphere is friendly and comfortable. A big thank you to the entire team for making my stay such a positive and memorable experience. If I return to London in the future, Yugo Element Bermondsey will definitely be my first choice!!!!🥰

    The area is great: the bus station within a minute walking distance, there is a lovely park right next to the Element… you can reach nearest Sainsbury by walking in 2 minutes or Tesco in 10. The dorm is new (everything is nice and clean), rooms/studios are spacious with plentiful storage. Pictures posted by management are absolutely reliable, though rooms appear even somewhat larger in real! Being far away from home, it means a LOT having lovely people managing the building. From the day 1 with moving in, Martin was so helpful. He and Aaliyah are just amazing. No matter what the issue is they will help.
