Phoenix Place, Liverpool

I lived there for 2 years, only just moved out. It’s the only place I didn’t want to leave, it’s the best price, close to town, great rooms and the staff are genuinely the best. If you want to walk to town from there you can, if you want your car with you, you can park for free cos it’s just out of town enough. I can’t thank all the staff enough, I’m so glad I stayed at Phoenix for my last 2 years of uni

Great location, close to everything including central centre. The accommodation is very welcoming and they try their best to help you with any issues. Rooms are really nice and they have some nice and friendly staff working there. Stayed there all 3 years of my university time and I don’t regret it once.

I stayed at Phoenix Place in 2023, renting a studio for £140 a week, and overall, it was a great experience. The location is convenient, with a 25-minute walk to the University of Liverpool, making it easy to get to campus. Nearby, you'll find everything you need, including a large Home Bargains, B&M, Sainsbury's, and Lidl. Plus, all the popular food chains are close by, along with a Gym Group. The accommodation is well-serviced, with a bus stop right outside that takes you straight to the city center. The management, Cloud Student Homes, was fantastic—friendly staff and timely maintenance made living here stress-free. If you're looking for a decent student accommodation in Liverpool, I'd definitely recommend Phoenix Place.

This is a really lovely accommodation overall, modern and well-kept. The rooms are a good size with plenty of storage, and the rent is fair considering what you get. The staff are also very friendly and helpful, which makes a big difference. That being said, there were a few downsides during my stay. The location in L5 is not the most convenient, as it takes about 20 to 25 minutes to walk to the university or the city centre. Amenities are also quite limited. There is a nice study room and a small communal area, but it would benefit from something extra like a small gym or a movie room to bring tenants together. In Block B, one of the lifts was out of order for most of my 51-week stay, which was frustrating, especially if you lived on the higher floors. Another issue was the eco-friendly heating in the rooms, which automatically switches off every 10 minutes. This was really unhelpful during the freezing Liverpool winters. I reported the issue, but maintenance never came. When I eventually got a space heater, I was told to remove it because it was a fire hazard, so I ended up being cold for much of the winter. Overall, despite these issues, it is still a nice place to live with good value for money and a welcoming team.
