About Halls

With our student housing in Leeds, choose from a fully furnished en suite room or studio. We want to make student living as stress-free as possible, which is why the bills are on us. Plus, enjoy dedicated study areas and onsite social spaces like a lounge, games area, cinema and gym. 

From Marsden House, you can reach the University of Leeds with a 12-minute walk, Leeds Beckett University with a 19-minute walk, or Leeds Arts University with a 22-minute walk. Leeds train station is also just a 17-minute walk away. 

During the 2025/26 and 2026/27 academic years, we will be carrying out building improvement works to the exterior of iQ Marsden House. Your comfort during your stay is important to us and we will be doing all we can to minimise disruption. Works will only take place between 9:00am – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, with no noisy work during exam times. Our team is on-site and on hand 24/7 to support you, and will keep you updated about the work.

All staff are very friendly and happy to help. A particularly lovely member of staff is Nicola on reception, she was very eager to help and allowed me to print off some CVs as i am looking for a job nearby. Lovely lady would feel comfortable coming to her if i had any queries at all.

If you're a fan of the fire department, or don't wake up to alarms, good news for B block residents! You'll hear them testing their fire alarms early mornings multiple days a week as the department is right next to Marsden!! Leave your window open and they'll be sure to get you out of bed in time for uni. Other than this, Marsden has been a perfect place to stay. Staff are lovely and very helpful, facilities are great, the dorms are spacious and provide everything you need. Would recommend for students looking for convenient and easy living.

I briefly became utterly fascinated with the arcitecture of this building a couple of years ago. I've never been inside, but I like the green/pink window dividers, and I got hyped enough to consider researchnig the architect and picking his brains. It's funny what little things in an urban environment stick out to you as special.

marsden house is a great place for first year student!! the social aspect of the accommodation is great, you'll meet loads of new people from every aspect of life. The reception team are incredible, they go above and beyond!! I would highly recommend this accommodation for any uni student. The veiws from the top floors are a bonus too !!

My review is based on my visit and the customer service received (and not having lived there). This is also an important part of choosing accommodation, so I am leaving a review on my own accord. I was in contact with Hannah. She was very helpful and kind. I told her what I was looking for and she told me everything I needed to know. She was thorough and patient in answering my questions. I was very impressed with the facilities including the games, cinema room and breakout spaces. It has a courtyard and certainly gives a community vibe. There is a strong staff and security presence. The room itself has everything you possibly need. As with all iQ buildings, you provide your own duvet and pans. The prices of the rooms are also more affordable than the other iQ accommodations - while it is not in the city centre, it is a 15-20 minute walk away. I have decided to keep searching for accommodation purely due to personal preferences/circumstances. If these were different, then I would not hesitate to book at iQ Marsden House.

Without a UK rental guarantor, most landlords and agents will require you to pay the full year's rent upfront. We have partnered with Housing Hand who can provide you with a certificate of rental guarantee.

Frequently Asked Questions

The physical safety and psychological security of the students is taken care of at the property. This is done through the use of CCTV cameras, on-site security staff and on-site teams available around the clock, 365 days a year. Secure door entry is also employed at the entrance to the property. This can only be breached if you physically open the door for someone. That is why we suggest you take special care to not allow people to tailgate you.
The property does not accept guardianship of the students under the age of 18.
The short answer is yes, as long as you meet all the prerequisites. This means that before you bring a TV, you must know whether your room has a TV point. Your TV should not be larger than 21 inches and should be able to free-stand as wall-mounted TVs are not allowed. The property provides TVs and TV licenses in the communal areas but if you want a TV in your own room, you will have to arrange for a license yourself. If you have any more questions, you can check in with the on-site team.
Yes, most sites feature dedicated bike storage areas. As long as you are a resident at the property, have registered your bike and obtained a bike tag, you will be able to bring and store your bikes at the property.
Yes, you can bring your car and most properties do have dedicated car storage space. Having said that, the number of car storage spaces are limited and are filled very quickly. Also to be noted is the fact that most of these places are situated close to the university and everyday amenities, makes the role of a car redundant. Therefore, we suggest that you consider all factors before deciding.
