About Halls

The Towpath is a modern, well-equipped and beautiful student accommodation situated on the banks of a canal in the city of Chester. If you are a university or college student in Chester, you can honestly consider The Towpath. As far as location goes, it doesn’t get any better than this!
The University of Chester can be reached from The Towpath student accommodation in around 12 minutes if you decide to walk and if you need to get to the Kingsway Campus, it can be easily reached by a 15-minute-long bus ride. Getting to the Chester town centre also takes a short 5-minute walk which means all you need to do if you need groceries, want to meet a friend at a cafe or go partying, is to step out!
Moving on to the rooms and living spaces at The Towpath accommodation. You will be happy to know that the place offers spacious ensuite and studios to all its students. You can choose the type of suite or studio that works best for you in terms of budget and personal requirements. Irrespective of which room you choose, you will get a private bathroom, a sleeping area with a comfortable bed, a study area with a desk and chair and loads of storage options. The rooms also feature kitchenettes complete with ovens and hobs.
As far as the rest of the facilities are concerned, The Towpath offers everything from an on-site laundry to wash your clothes, a dedicated library and study area with high-speed internet across the property so that your studies go on uninterrupted. Ive really enjoyed staying here and it was definitely the best choice for my first year. I had issues with rent coming up to my second term and the staff and management were brilliant, helping me set up a payment plan that made sure not only my guarantor didn't get charged but that i could pay my rent and still enjoy my time at uni. They are super friendly and always check in when you see them, overall i'm super happy with my stay here.

We host regular student events here and it's always a great place to be! The students are really friendly, the staff are helpful and all of the areas that we see such as the reception, communal space and gym (which look very smart) are always keep clean and tidy. Looking forward to another year with you guys!

The Towpath is a lovely student accommodation. The location is beautiful and the accommodation has everything you need. The canal runs right next to the accommodation providing lovely views from the balcony. The accommodation is well located and there is also parking on site. There is a common room with booths and sofas, it’s great for studying or meeting up with friends. There’s also a pub right next door where you can get food and drinks and enjoy when the weather is nice. I’ve found the staff to be really accommodating and helpful. They make the place feel like home. The rooms are spacious and clean and the shared kitchen space is massive. I’ve had a really good experience so far

My step son is staying at this property whilst studying at Chester University. An amazing safe and fun place. The staff are truly attentive and have the students best interest at heart. Some of the events they host are fun and inclusive. Would recommend anyone studying in Chester to stay at this accommodation.
