I had a wonderful stay at Combworks. I lived in a studio, which was fantastic-comfortable and well-maintained. The common areas are fully equipped and perfect for hosting friends. Whenever a maintenance issue popped up in my room, the management team was incredibly responsive and proactive. Overall, I’m very grateful for the excellent living experience provided here.

The best student accommodations you could ask for. Attentive, friendly and helpful staff, 24/7 security, well-thought out room designs, located in a part of town that has a slew of different shops for easy access till late. Easy walking distance to the city centre as well as the University of Aberdeen.

I had the most wonderful time with the Combworks and most memorable with Sharon, Denise, Andy and Alfie during my three years at university. Initially, I planned to join the accommodation at the beginning of my university journey but amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions, it came to a delay. The reason I had an interest was that it had a positive reception with many links to transportation, groceries, and places to go to, being a short walk from the city centre. How good was it to be true and more in second year? A close relative of mine also came with me as we studied the same course at university and we smoothly transitioned into the warm and welcoming environment being that our rooms were right next door to each other on the fourth floor that Denise kindly recommended to us. The views were incredible, and so were the cleanliness and facilities. Whenever we faced an issue with maintainence, it was recieved immediately by the staff and promptly resolved by Andy. There are also many events held downstairs at the reception with breakfasts to help with our studies. These always helped us and motivated us to do our best. For us both, the Combworks was a home away from home and more. Whenever we left to attend our morning lectures at RGU, 20 minutes away by bus, Andy would always greet us, with a smile and grin, a happy good morning and update us on the weather and on our way home, Denise or Sharon, and sometimes Alfie would also greet us with a smile and a hello. Everyone will be dearly missed. We loved our stay not only because of the many positive things but most importantly because of the people around us; our second family. A highly recommended accomodation to anyone looking for a home away from home!

I spent a year at the Combworks and its no exaggeration to state that this accommodation and its loveliest team made my stay in Aberdeen so so memorable, hence my review will be very generous with the well deserved appreciation. While so many of my other friends struggled with student accommodations or even their uncooperative staff, i for once didn't have any complaints during my stay. Shoutout to Sharon, Denise and Andy, the team here, who are the absolute loveliest and will go out of their way to cater to your needs at the accommodation. The pre-furnished studios are gorgeous with modern and spacious interiors so you wont have any problems with storage space. The ensuite bathrooms and kitchen are also very well maintained. They’re exactly as you see on the aparto website. I've also attached photos of my own room (self decorated ofc) for reference. Also, with the numerous get togethers for each month for the residents, you’ll never feel lonely. A true home away from home! Its also perfect for the price since wifi, heating, electricity, all are included in the rent. The location is ideal, right next to main bus stops taking you to uni, 2 min walk to Lidl Grocers, super close to city centre with Union Street at 15 mins of walk, and 20 mins of walk to University of Aberdeen and the beach. With all this, i’d say, as a student in the city, you will not for once regret your time here. If you’re coming to Aberdeen and have found a spot at the CombWorks, you’re super lucky.
