Old Fire Station, Aberdeen

I have lived here at the old fire station for 3 years and I can honestly say that I wouldn't want to live anywhere else throughout my time at university. The staff are like family and are available 24/7 to ensure all students are cared for. The security team are on hand at all times as well as the maintenance team, but all members of staff are there to support you and your wellbeing whilst living away from home. The front desk staff are always on hand to help with day to day concerns, and Gary in particular goes above and beyond to ensure all students are looked after. I highly recommend considering this property to stay at if you're looking for a home away from home, it has certainly been the best decision I've ever made!!

A very good accommodation, I’ve been living here for 4 months, a good combination of price and quality, there is a common room where you can play billiards and other board games, the rooms are normal in size, all the furniture is in good condition, the only thing I wanted was a shower with a long and controlled spout. The staff works 100%; if possible, all requests are resolved within one day. In general, I am very pleased with the accommodation.

I've stayed in several different halls during my time as a student in Aberdeen, and the Old Fire Station is by far the best. Friendly, kind, helpful staff; great facilities which are easy to access (laundry, mailroom/letterboxes, etc.); lovely rooms which are spacious and fairly priced. The building itself is well-maintained and there are frequent inspections of showers, kitchens, etc. Plus, you're in a perfect central location with Union Street and Aberdeen Uni campus very close by. Would recommend to anyone coming to Aberdeen to study.
