Do you need a guarantor?
Without a UK rental guarantor, most landlords and agents will require you to pay the full year's rent upfront. We have partnered with Housing Hand who can provide you with a certificate of rental guarantee.

That’s why we’ve answered all your questions about living at Nurtur House to give you peace of mind, allowing you to book with confidence in a COVID secure building.
Please note: our terms on any flexibility offered on your tenancy contracts at Nurtur House are only available until 01/09/21. Circumstances must be communicated to us before this date with the relevant supporting documents such as your proof of university course delay or no place/visa no pay. Any flexibility on contract start dates will not be honoured for requests received after this date.
My visa application has been cancelled, what can I do?
Please get in touch with our team with proof of the cancellation within 7 days of it being cancelled.
Once proof of the cancellation has been accepted, we will be able to refund you any monies paid and confirm your release from the contract.
There has been a visa processing delay, what can I do?
If you have experienced a delay in the processing of your visa due to the current COVID-19 outbreak, please get in touch with our team to discuss how this may affect the date you are able to move into Nurtur House.
In this instance, you will not be liable for a deposit or rent payments until the new check-in date commences.
We will need to see proof your Visa application has been delayed. At this stage, the team will discuss your options for a delayed check-in date.
What will happen if my University course is delayed?
If you experience a delay in the start date of your course, please get in touch with our team.
We will need to see proof from your University confirming your new start date. At this stage, the team will discuss your options for a delayed check-in date.
In the instance, you will not be liable for a deposit or rent payments until the new check-in date commences.
You should contact us within 7 days of becoming aware of this information.
What will happen if my course becomes online-based due to the COVID-19 outbreak, and there is no longer a need for me to move to Sheffield for my studies?
In this instance, you will not be liable for a deposit or rent payments and will be entitled to a refund of any monies already paid against your account.
We would need to see proof from your University that this is the case for the duration of the 20/21 academic year, before you can be released from your contract.
You should contact us within 7 days of becoming aware of this information.
What will happen if there are still travel restrictions in place?
If there are still travel restrictions in place, either into the United Kingdom or out of the country you are travelling from, you will not be expected to make rent payments until the restrictions are lifted.
For clarity, no student who is unable to check-in to Nurtur House due to travel restrictions implemented by the government will be expected to make deposit or rent payments. These payments will accumulate 48 hours after the restrictions are lifted.
This will be closely monitored by our accommodation team, who will be in regular contact with you in the weeks leading up to your proposed check-in date.
What will happen if I contract COVID-19?
In this instance, we will work with you to decipher your options.
If you are unable to enrol on your university course for the duration of the 2021/22 academic year due to contracting COVID-19, we will refund your deposit and release you from your contract. This will be actioned upon proof of your positive test result, and proof from your university course provider that this is the case.
If you are unable to enrol on your university course for part of the 2020/22 academic year due to contracting COVID-19, we will work with you to determine a check-in date that works better for you. No deposit or rent payments will be due in the time before the new proposed check-in date. This will be actioned upon proof of your positive test result, and proof from your university course provider that this is the case.
