Ardcairn House is one of our student residences in Dublin city centre. It is conveniently located in the Grangegorman suburb of Dublin. It’s perfect for those studying at the DIT Grangegorman campus, which is just a 2-minute walk away, and it’s also very close to Trinity College. We are minutes from Smithfield and even have an on-site Lidl for all your groceries. You’ll also be ideally situated just a 5-minute stroll from the new Grangegorman LUAS Stop – handy!
All of our rooms are purpose-built for students, so you can focus on your studies in surroundings designed for you. You will have access to a cinema room, a bowling alley, an onsite gym, plenty of common study areas and outdoor areas. We also run social events all year-round, from pizza parties to days out, so you’ll never be bored living at Ardcairn House!
Sizes of this room type vary, but they all benefit from loads of storage space, a small double bed and well-equipped lounge/kitchens. These homely apartments are on the first floor and have limited availability.
Offering great value for money, the classic en-suites range in size from 13sqm – 15sqm and are available on a variety of different floors. Plus enjoy the privacy of your own en-suite room whilst sharing a stylish kitchen/diner with friends in a 3-8 bedroom flat. There will always be a room to suit your preferences.
At 17-20 sqm enjoy a bit more space with one of our contemporary premium en-suite rooms. Make sure you don’t miss out on the super fancy balcony feature that many of the premium en-suite rooms offer!
A slightly larger room will make you the envy of all your friends. With limited availability snap one of these rare gems up quick!
Want to keep your place just the way you like it? Why not live in a comfortable studio of your very own? Sizes average around 24 Sqm containing all the same features as an en-suite room, just with your very own kitchen dining area too!
The classic studios average around 25 sqm. With a double bed, lots of storage space and room to fit a few friends in, this could be just the studio for you. They are spacious enough to live in as a couple as well.
Live the high life. You’ll have a huge self-contained studio apartment measuring in at 31 sqm. Containing all the same features as the other studios, just more space to stretch your legs!
Do you need a guarantor?
Without a UK rental guarantor, most landlords and agents will require you to pay the full year's rent upfront. We have partnered with Housing Hand who can provide you with a certificate of rental guarantee.

Unless the context otherwise requires, words and expressions defined in your Licence to Reside (“Licence”) shall have the same meanings in this Cancellation Policy.
Bookings made prior to 31 July 2021
If you sign your Licence to Reside prior to 31 July 2021 and you have not collected the keys to your Room, you may cancel your Licence, by giving notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, with no penalty up until 31 July 2021. Once we receive such a notice, we will confirm receipt, cancel your Licence and will refund your Advance Room Fee Payment of €300.00.
Bookings made on or after 31 July 2021
If you sign your Licence to Reside on or after 31 July 2021 and you have not collected the keys to your Room, you may cancel your Licence, by giving notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, at any time within the period of fourteen (14) days of the date on which you sign your Licence to Reside (the “Cooling-Off Period”). Once we receive such a notice, we will confirm receipt, cancel your Licence and will refund your Advance Room Fee Payment of €300.
Cancelling outside the Cooling-Off Period
Outside the Cooling-Off Period, you may request to cancel your Licence to Reside, by notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property. However, you will remain liable for the Room Fee payable under the Licence to Reside until a suitable replacement student has been found.
Cancelling as you do not receive your visa
If you are not successful in being awarded a visa to travel and study, then we can help. Firstly, we may be able to transfer you to another one of our residences around the globe if you are going to study elsewhere. If you are not going to study elsewhere or we do not have accommodation available in your new city/town of study, we will release you from your Licence to Reside provided the following criteria are met:

If you are not successful in obtaining your place at your chosen University, then don’t worry, we can help. Firstly, we may be able to transfer you to another one of our residences if you are going to study elsewhere. If you are not going to study elsewhere or we do not have accommodation available in your new city/town of study, we will release you from your Licence to Reside provided the following criteria are met:
