Melbourn Point is your perfect place for repose after long college hours. Melbourn Point student accommodation is located in the suburban area of Cork in Bishopstown. The location of Melbourn Point Cork makes it convenient for students of Munster Technological University to travel for classes. The Melbourn Point student accommodation is placed close to public transport routes as well.

Melbourn Point boasts of a large accommodation arrangement with 342 rooms of various types. The rooms are divided into 6 types with varying rates. Students can avail these rooms on a weekly or monthly basis according to their requirements. The rental prices are extremely reasonable for the large number of amenities offered.

Melbourn Point student accommodation has the best facilities in all its rooms. The spacious and well-designed rooms have simple and innovative designs. The warm and inviting rooms are well-furnished with a double bed, kitchenette, study desks, wardrobe, and a beautiful en-suite bathroom. Premium rooms have plenty of space with floor to ceiling windows for natural lights and a feeling of spaciousness.

Melbourn Point Cork also comes with numerous amenities, which makes it super convenient for students. The on-campus gymnasium and laundry will take care of students' daily needs. Bike storage is available for students with cycles and two-wheelers. A dedicated room has been assigned to host social events and parties. Regular utilities like WiFi, room heater, electricity, and water are also included in the rental agreement.

Melbourn Point Cork takes the safety and security of students seriously. The 24*7 CCTV security and all-day staff are there to make sure you are never left wanting for anything. Standard En Suite

You will find everything you need in our standard en-suites. The luxury of your own bathroom with a large single bed, desk space and all the storage you would need! Standard En-Suites are on every floor of the residence and are in a 3 to 8-bedroom apartments.

Classic En Suite

These incredible rooms combine the benefits of the Standard En Suite, but with that bit of extra room. These apartments are either 3, 4 or 6 bedrooms and like all our apartments you will be sharing a modern and spacious kitchen.

Premium En Suite

The name says it all! These are the biggest en-suites you can choose. With a king-sized bed, plenty of desk space and storage for your belongings, these suit the student who needs plenty of room to stretch. You will be joining an apartment of 4, 5 or 7 students living together. Some of these have also been adapted for accessibility with wet room en-suites.

Classic Ensuite In 2 Bedroom Apartment

Two bedroom apartments have all the benefits of our other rooms but are perfect for a bit more privacy or friends who want to share! Classic rooms in these apartments are 17 square meters in size and feature a large single bed and a ton of space.

These rooms can be adapted for accessibility and come with a wet-room style bathroom.

Premium Ensuite In 2 Bedroom Apartment

Two bedroom apartments have all the benefits of our other rooms but are perfect for a bit more privacy or friends who want to share! Premium rooms in these apartments are 20 square meters in size and feature a king sized bed – perfect for a duvet day!

These rooms can be adapted for accessibility and come with a wet-room style bathroom.

Premium Studios

Space, style and storage. Our premium studio apartments combine all the great features of our student en-suites but with your own kitchen, king size bed and comfy living area just for you. There are only seven of these Studios so you will need to be quick! These studios are available for single or double occupancy.

Cancellation Policy

Unless the context otherwise requires, words and expressions defined in your Licence to Reside (“Licence”) shall have the same meanings in this Cancellation Policy.

Bookings made prior to 31 July 2021

If you sign your Licence to Reside prior to 31 July 2021 and you have not collected the keys to your Room, you may cancel your Licence, by giving notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, with no penalty up until 31 July 2021. Once we receive such a notice, we will confirm receipt, cancel your Licence and will refund your Advance Room Fee Payment of €300.00.

Bookings made on or after 31 July 2021

If you sign your Licence to Reside on or after 31 July 2021 and you have not collected the keys to your Room, you may cancel your Licence, by giving notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, at any time within the period of fourteen (14) days of the date on which you sign your Licence to Reside (the “Cooling-Off Period”). Once we receive such a notice, we will confirm receipt, cancel your Licence and will refund your Advance Room Fee Payment of €300.

Bookings made for Semester 2 or 3 starting after the 1st January 2022

If you sign your Licence to Reside for a semester 2 or 3 beginning after the 1st January 2022, you may cancel your Tenancy, by giving notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, with no penalty up until 15 November 2021 or 8 weeks before the start of your Licence to Reside whichever is the shortest. Once we receive such a notice, we will confirm receipt, cancel your Licence and will refund your Advance Room Fee Payment of €300.00.

If you have not collected your key you may also cancel at any time within the period of fourteen (14) days of the date on which you sign your Licence to Reside (the “Cooling-Off Period”). During the cancellation period, you may cancel your Licence to Reside, by giving notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, Once we receive such a notice, we will confirm receipt, cancel your Licence and will refund your Advance Room Fee Payment of €300.00.

Cancelling outside the Cooling-Off Period

Outside the Cooling-Off Period, you may request to cancel your Licence to Reside, by notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property. However, you will remain liable for the Room Fee payable under the Licence to Reside until a suitable replacement student has been found.

Cancelling as you do not receive your visa

If you are not successful in being awarded a visa to travel and study, then we can help. Firstly, we may be able to transfer you to another one of our residences around the globe if you are going to study elsewhere. If you are not going to study elsewhere or we do not have accommodation available in your new city/town of study, we will release you from your Licence to Reside provided the following criteria are met:

  1. You submit your request to cancel, in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, within 3 days of your visa rejection letter; and
  2. You provide the Residence Manager with a copy of your rejection letter from the embassy or visa office.

One less worry if you don’t receive your points

This is applicable to prospective first-year undergraduate students only

If you are not successful in obtaining your place at your chosen University, then don’t worry, we can help. Firstly, we may be able to transfer you to another one of our residences if you are going to study elsewhere. If you are not going to study elsewhere or we do not have accommodation available in your new city/town of study, we will release you from your Licence to Reside provided the following criteria are met:

  1. You submit your request to cancel, in writing or by e-mail to the General Manager at the Property, within 48 hours after your CAO offer; and
  2. You provide the Residence Manager with a copy of your rejection letter from the University of CAO.

 Once we have your request, we will confirm receipt and refund your Advance Room Fee Payment of €300

Guarantor

Do You Need Guarantor?
Without a UK rental guarantor, most landlords and agents will require you to pay the full year’s rent upfront. We have partnered with Housing Hand who can provide you with a certificate of rental guarantee.
However, there some of our student accommodation do not need a UK based guarantor in order for students to pay their rent in instalments, to know more kindly get in touch with our team and we will be happy to assist you with these properties.
